Roma defender Philippe Mexes has confirmed his intention to stay at the Lupi, and not move during the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old has been strongly linked with a possible departure from the Giallorossi, after struggling to find a spot in the center of defense.
The arrival of Nicolas Burdisso on loan from Inter saw the Argentine forge a solid defensive partnership with Juan, and left Mexes relegated to the bench.
"I don't see why I should have to leave Roma," the Frenchman told Romanews.eu. "I love living here, love the club and have a contract that I intend to respect."
Mexes had been linked with moves to AC Milan, Juventus and Arsenal.
